Job Category Finance Position Summary The Lead Risk Management Analyst Latin America located in Costa Rica or Brazil will develop the Latin America corporate insurance and risk finance role function into a strategic information & risk finance advisory function. Support the underwriting processes and insurance policy placements, reporting, allocation and invoicing to fully deploy the treasury risk and insurance strategy. The role is in the risk management and insurance department managing corporate insurance, contractual risk management, and financial reporting to assure best in class service to internal teammates, and external resources in Costa Rica, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina and Chile. In this role you work closely with all risk teammates managing various BSAM insurance programs and supporting the company’s business operations in the Americas. Prepare underwriting criteria for various insurance lines, negotiate local renewals, prepare program briefing material, review and advise market trends, prepare local insurance budget guidance and allocations, and maintain daily communications with brokers and carriers as needed. Primary contact for internal risk/insurance resource needs from various business unit members including Legal or unit financial controllers and business operations. Responsibilities Insurance Program Support Provide strategic direction and management for local insurance policy placement Manage and validate the collection of exposure information for insurance renewals and new placements Analyze and report the total cost of risk (insurance premiums, claims, broker fees, LOC cost, bonds etc.) Analyze and evaluate risk exposure and recommend risk mitigations strategies. Manage the insurance invoice process for premium payments to the insurance market as well as other insurance program related invoice processing with accounts payable Responsible for disseminating auto ID, certificate of insurance, and bonds following renewals and ongoing during the year Department Budgeting Manage invoice process and business unit internal allocation process with proper general ledger coding and journal entries as necessary Provide annual budget guidance for insurance related spend Deploy regional business unit risk finance policies and procedures throughout the region in conjunction with corporate Treasury strategy & guidelines Claims Handling Inland Marine/import/export cargo Property damage and business interruption claims processing, carrier negotiation experience Minimum Qualifications BS/BBA degree in business or related field requiredeld.
