AHF ProductsReporting to and assisting the Warehouse Supervisor, the Lead Person will be responsible for oversight of the day-to-day activities of several employees at the Distribution Center. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Includes the following as well as other items that may be assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor. Must be able to always work in a safe manner Must be able to correct unsafe behaviors Must be able to instruct and train new employees Must have a teachable demeanor Must have good problem-solving skills Must be able to work overtime as needed Must have good attendance and work record Must be able to read and write legibly Must be able to complete all required paperwork Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision Must be able to drive a forklift Must be able to lift 75 lbs Must be fluent in how to work with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) Must be able to perform physical inventory counts/cycle count locations Must monitor the warehouse for housekeeping Must monitor employees’ times on break periods and lunch periods Must know how to lead by example with servant leadership Must monitor employees’ workloads throughout the day Must be able to perform any job on the floor for absent employees Must be able to give clear and decisive instructions to other employees Must be able to communicate effectively with other employees and leads Must perform all other duties as instructed by the Warehouse Supervisor Prior leadership experience is preferred Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities but does oversee the activities of other employees. Must be able to handle emergencies and issues when they come up if the Warehouse Supervisor is not able to be reached. Must be able to file in for the Warehouse Supervisor as needed. Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Must have the ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Must have the ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees within the organization. Mathematical Skills: Must have the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Must have the ability to compute rate, ratio, percent and to create and interpret bar graphs. Reasoning Ability: Must have the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Must have the ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have demonstrated knowledge of spreadsheet software sufficient to maintain and generate records and reports. Must have a good working knowledge of the Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) including use of the RF computer sessions. Certificates, Licenses & Registrations: Must pass OSHA forklift certification within 90 days of job award. Other Skills and Abilities: Must possess ability to learn and perform all jobs at the Distribution Center to act as fill-in when needed. Must be able to read tape measures, scales, and gauges.
