Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Swamper / Rigger to join our dynamic construction and heavy equipment team. In this vital role, you will assist with rigging operations, ensuring the safe and efficient handling of heavy loads, and support crane and boom truck operations. Your proactive communication skills and mechanical knowledge will help maintain smooth workflows on site, contributing to successful project completion. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop specialized skills in rigging and equipment operation within a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Assist with rigging activities by securing loads, attaching slings, chains, or hooks to ensure safe lifting operations Support crane and boom truck operators during lifting, positioning, and moving heavy materials or equipment Conduct routine inspections of rigging gear, slings, and lifting devices to ensure safety standards are met Communicate clearly with team members using effective verbal and non-verbal cues to coordinate movements and tasks Operate forklifts and other machinery as needed to transport materials around the site Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all safety protocols are followed at all times Support customer service efforts by providing assistance and clear communication with clients or visitors when required Requirements Prior construction experience or familiarity with construction sites is highly preferred Valid forklift certification with the ability to operate safely in a busy environment Experience with rigging, crane operation, or boom truck operation is a strong plus Mechanical knowledge to understand equipment functions and troubleshooting basics Multilingual or bilingual abilities to facilitate communication across diverse teams are advantageous Strong communication skills for effective teamwork and safety compliance Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining focus on safety standards Join us in a role that combines physical activity with technical skill development!
