SUMMARY

Under the direction of the AVP Support Operations, the Support Operations Specialist 2 is responsible for a variety of functions that provide support to the Credit Union. Department duties include courier and mail delivery, processing outgoing and incoming mail, mail posting, purchasing supplies, and printed forms, member research, records reproduction, retention and destruction, and optical imaging.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Prepares, logs and coordinates document storage and destruction of records. Receives, organizes, logs and prepares files and documents for optical imaging. Quality control of all scanned documents in Synergy.
  • Processes change of address forms.
  • Posts incoming deposits and loan payments.
  • Sorts and distributes incoming mail to the appropriate branches and departments.
  • Applies appropriate postage to outgoing USPS mail for all branches and departments, including certified/tracked mail.
  • Processes supply orders for branches and departments. Tracks all outgoing supplies and monitors branch orders. Regularly attends and participates in in-house training.
  • Processes and logs Verification of Deposit requests.
  • Reviews account records and verifies related data processing reports for accuracy. 
  • Monitors and verifies W-8 BEN and W-9 reporting.
  • Social Security Administration verification and submission. Accuity/Medicaid verification and submission.
  • Process Research Request
  • Reviews and tracks various quality control reports and communicate to branches/departments of errors 
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by management and may be assigned to work at any location.



QUALIFICATIONS

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent with two or more years’ experience in banking or related field.

Certificates, Licenses and Registrations

None.


Knowledge

Credit Union products, services, programs, and promotions.

Background in all aspects of Credit Union department functions, policies and procedures; knowledge of Credit Union laws and regulations.

Knowledge of computer systems and software needed to effectively perform job.


Other Skills and Abilities

Operates a variety of office equipment and machines.

Ability to travel, attend, and participate in meetings, seminars, and conferences held before and after normal business hours that may require unaccompanied long-distance travel and overnight lodging.

Accuracy and attention to detail.
