Position Overview The Supply Planning role is responsible for leading their respective brands, products, or suppliers to ensure the continuity of supply of finished goods and materials to maximize customer service levels, optimize inventory and minimize excess obsolescence. The individual will be required to lead and manage the Supply Chain in all aspects including system setup, planning, purchasing, manufacturing, quality release, logistics and new product launches. Position is based in Chattanooga, Tennessee at BCH corporate office. Key Responsibilities Manage all supply chain activities to include production planning, procurement, inventory management, manufacturing, packaging, quality release, transportation, and warehousing, and to ensure optimal balance between customer service and inventory. Forecast development o Develop and provide rolling 12+ month forecasts of finished goods production plans and purchase orders to Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs) within the prescribed lead-time. CMO Oversight o Manage assigned CMO relationships and facilitate periodic business and performance metric review discussions with CMOs. o Follow up with CMOs to ensure timely delivery of products and resolve any supply issues that arise. o Oversee the management and coordination of all product release paperwork from the contract manufacturers for Quality to complete quality released production. o Oversee the reconciliation of CMO shipment invoices to actual shipments. Approve shipment invoices. o Source new CMOs or material suppliers as needed for new projects and/or backup or alternate sources of supply. Project Management o Project manage all product related promotional initiatives and implementation of changes to existing products for assigned brands. This includes developing the project timeline, identifying the appropriate cross functional team members (internal & external), facilitating project team meetings, generating meeting minutes, providing follow up and driving the projects to successful implementation. o Develop and maintain a budget for Inventory, Purchases, Purchase Price Variance and Freight In. Inventory Management o Manage inventory levels to optimize inventory turns while maintaining a high level of customer service. o Maintain and balance inventory between warehouses and ERP systems or manual tracking systems. Cross-functional Collaboration o Manage label changes through the label change process managing review by Marketing, Quality, Legal, Operations and applicable CMO. o Actively participate in S&OP process, manage the supply plan, and communicate any issues for resolution to the cross-functional team. o Approve any packaging graphics, shipping cases and/or labels as needed. Reporting and Data Management o Generate reports such as: weekly watch list, weekly open order, monthly short-dated inventory or obsolescence, and quarterly future short-dated. o Oversee the creation and updating of packaging and finished goods specifications as needed. Generate component part numbers as needed. o Maintain any material data, supplier data or planning system data requirements in ERP systems or manual planning systems as required.
