JOB SUMMARY Efficiently requisition, pick and deliver, designated departments' supplies using Materials Management Information Systems and Pyxis. Complete assigned Pyxis inventories weekly. Check outdates in assigned areas monthly. Keep Materials storeroom clean and organized. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Inventory Management & Tracking Requisition, pick and deliver designated departments' supplies for Pyxis, floor stock and department requests. Update Pyxis inventory discrepancies, if any, while completing Pyxis refills. Rotate stock while refilling Pyxis and floor stock locations. Pick department requests within 24 hours of submission. Deliver department requests if on-site. If off-site, package and label for courier to deliver. Check backorders that have filled daily. Print, pick and deliver backorders. Communicate stockouts/product shortages affecting clinical departments to Buyer for follow up. Complete assigned Pyxis inventories weekly. Check expiration dates for assigned Pyxis and floor stock areas monthly. Monitor mask/tissue stations at facility entrances, refill as necessary. Customer Service/Teamwork Answer supply clerk cell phone/Vocera and resolve queries. Provide customer service to walk-ins in Materials. Issue and document employee payroll deduct purchases. Respond to inquiries while traveling around the hospital. Keep current on other department skills. Assist co-workers as needed. Participate in annual inventory. Attend and participate in bi-weekly staff meetings. Contribute to ongoing process improvement, helping to identify issues and create solutions. Complete other tasks as assigned. JOB REQUIREMENTS Minimum Education Required: High school diploma or equivalent Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, or equivalent experience Minimum Work Experience Required: 2 to 4 years related work experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must possess good communication, interpersonal and customer service skills. Basic computer skills. Must be a team player, working well with co-workers and other hospital staff, while also being able to work independently. Preferred: 3 – 5 years’ experience in Inventory Management preferably in a hospital setting. Required Licenses: Valid Driver's license FUNCTIONAL DEMANDS Working Conditions Work in many settings including storeroom, receiving dock and office settings. Occasionally stooping, bending and lifting to receive and shelve products and restock departments. Using carts, transport supplies around the Hospital. May be exposed to outside weather in a variety of conditions. May be expected to operate vehicles in a variety of road conditions, including snow and ice with limited visibility. May spend time outdoors walking between buildings & vehicle and driving in all-weather/road conditions. Physical Requirements 90% of day standing, walking, pushing carts. 10% sitting at computer. Must be able to lift at least 55 90% of day standing, walking, pushing carts. 10% sitting at computer. Must be able to lift at least 55 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 75 ponds. Able to put away stock. Ability to lift, bend, stoop, push and reach above shoulders lifting to receive and shelve products. Direct Reports: None Reports to: Materials Manager Internal & External Contacts: Interacts daily with co-workers, patients, public, physicians, vendors, delivery drivers and other St. John’s Health staff.
