Supply Chain Technician
Great North AirlinesGreat North Airlines — Canadian Service Through Motion Overview Reporting to the Supply Chain Supervisor, the Stores Technician is responsible for the receipt, storage, control, issuance, and transportation of aircraft parts, tools, equipment, and materials. The role supports aircraft maintenance operations by ensuring inventory accuracy, regulatory compliance, and the timely availability of parts required for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities. The Stores Technician works closely with Maintenance and Supply Chain personnel to maintain operational readiness and support safe, efficient operations. Responsibilities Actively promote safety and quality within the organization and department by encouraging employee participation in SMS and ensuring effective communication with all stakeholders; Comply with all SMS and safety policies, processes and standards; Shipping, receiving, inspection, and storage of aeronautical products; Assisting with inventory control and inventory accuracy initiatives; Supporting tooling control and calibration tracking programs; Assisting with cycle counts, stock verification, and inventory audits; Picking, issuing, and receiving aircraft parts and consumables; Assisting with AOG logistics activities; Supporting purchasing, expediting, shipping, and receiving functions; Verifying documentation, traceability, and certification requirements for aircraft parts; Assisting with deliveries and pickups of aircraft parts and equipment; Maintaining accurate records within inventory management systems; Working with Supply Chain personnel to ensure parts, tools, and equipment are available for upcoming maintenance events. Other duties as assigned by the Supply Chain Supervisor or their delegate. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education preferred; Education in Supply Chain, Logistics, Inventory Control, or a related field is considered an asset; Minimum one year of inventory control, warehousing, or supply chain experience; aviation experience is preferred; Ability to multitask and make decisions in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a professional and respectful attitude; Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment; Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook; Experience in a maintenance, warehouse, manufacturing, mechanical, or technical environment is considered an asset; Demonstrated willingness to learn, develop new skills, and accept coaching; Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment; Strong organizational and time management skills; Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety; Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry aircraft parts, tooling, and materials; Ability to work in varying weather and environmental conditions; Ability to stand, kneel, bend, climb, and work in confined spaces for extended periods; Ability to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as operationally required.
