Position Overview CoreKinect is seeking a hands-on Supply Chain & Strategic Sourcing Lead to take ownership of production material sourcing, supplier relationships, purchasing strategy, and material availability across our manufacturing operations. This position will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of raw materials, electronic components, PCBAs, subassemblies, and other production-related materials. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who can develop strong supplier relationships, identify new sourcing opportunities, negotiate competitive pricing, manage lead times, and anticipate material shortages before they impact production. We are looking for someone who can both execute day-to-day purchasing activities and help establish the processes, supplier network, and controls needed to support a growing manufacturing organization. Key Responsibilities Strategic Sourcing & Procurement Lead sourcing and procurement of raw materials, electronic components, PCBAs, mechanical parts, batteries, and production-related supplies. Identify, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers to improve pricing, availability, quality, and supply continuity. Develop sourcing strategies that reduce material costs and minimize supply chain risk. Negotiate supplier pricing, payment terms, minimum order quantities (MOQs), and delivery commitments. Manage RFQs, competitive bidding, supplier selection, and purchase recommendations. Identify alternate and secondary sources for critical or long-lead-time components. Supplier & Vendor Management Develop and maintain strong relationships with domestic and international suppliers, manufacturers, and contract manufacturers. Monitor supplier performance, delivery reliability, pricing, and responsiveness. Proactively address supplier delays, shortages, quality concerns, and delivery discrepancies. Maintain accurate supplier records, pricing agreements, lead times, and purchasing documentation. Identify opportunities for supplier consolidation, cost reductions, and improved purchasing terms. Material Planning & Manufacturing Support Coordinate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Inventory, and Operations to understand material requirements and production priorities. Review bills of materials (BOMs), inventory availability, work-in-progress (WIP), and upcoming production requirements to identify purchasing needs. Monitor open purchase orders, supplier commitments, material shortages, and expected delivery dates. Expedite critical materials to support production schedules and customer delivery commitments. Support procurement planning based on demand forecasts, production schedules, and inventory levels. Identify supply chain risks and recommend corrective actions before they disrupt manufacturing. ERP & Process Improvement Maintain accurate purchasing and supplier information within Odoo ERP. Track purchase orders, expected receipts, lead times, and material availability. Work with the ERP/Business Systems team to improve purchasing workflows, reporting, and data accuracy. Develop and document purchasing procedures, supplier management practices, and procurement controls. Establish meaningful procurement metrics, including supplier on-time delivery, purchase price variance, material shortages, and cost savings.
