We are looking for a Supply Chain Specialist to join our Supply Chain team! Our Senior Supply Chain Specialist will be sourcing and purchasing ingredients and planning production for our delicious, plant-powerful products.

EXPERIENCE
• You have proven experience in a high-stress fast-paced environment, preferably in the food industry.
• You have 3 + years of planning and purchasing experience in a manufacturing facility.

THINGS YOU WILL DO…
• Manage production schedule for both internal and external (co-packers) operations in a busy food production environment.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels, manage material requirements and associated logistics.
• Troubleshoot with internal and external stakeholders on resolving issues such as production delays, deliveries, quality and inventory.
• Ensure the quality of materials, competitive pricing, and sufficient supply at all times.
• May on occasion work at various times including weekends, as the job requires.
• Ability to travel as needed to visit co-packers and attend industry events

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
Planning/Scheduling
• Create and maintain production schedules that align with customer orders, production capacity, and inventory levels.
• Allocate production resources, including labor, machines, and materials, to optimize production efficiency.
• Track and follow up production progress with Operations teams.
•Monitor and maintain optimal inventory level on Finished Goods, mitigating the risk of stock outs and spoilages.
• Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to gather demand forecasts and incorporate them into production planning processes.
• Run reports and provide analytical data on fill rate, inventory level, production performance and capacity planning.

Co-packer Management
• Manage the purchase orders with co-packers in alignment with sales current demand and forecasts.
• Manage material requirements and transportation between suppliers and co-packers.
• Manage co-packer relationships and act as primary contact for resolving issues such as production delays, delivery issues, product non-conformance, invoicing, etc.
• Collaborate with internal departments for new product development and commercialization at co-packers.  
• Perform monthly reconciliation on co-packer inventory and yield analysis.

Purchasing
• Maintain appropriate raw material inventory levels following best practices for inventory purchasing and place orders for restocking as required.
• Ensure the quality of materials, competitive pricing, and sufficient supply always.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers and brokers as needed.
• Generate savings on raw materials and logistics by analyzing business opportunities compared to the current practices.
• Ensure all logistical requirements in transporting of material meet specifications and delivery deadlines.
• Other duties as assigned.
