Supply Chain Project Lead – ERP Transformation, TX
ConfidentialAbout The Role A global industrial company is in the middle of a major SAP S/4 HANA transformation and is looking for a Supply Chain Project Lead to drive the production planning implementation – not as an IT resource, but as a business-side project leader who understands supply chain deeply and knows how to bring people, processes and systems together. This is a newly created role within the Planning Center of Excellence, reporting directly to the Director of Planning COE. You will coordinate regional planning leads, manage implementation milestones across functions and geographies, and lead adoption and change management – with a project horizon running through 2027. Responsibilities Lead the S/4 HANA implementation for production planning: gap analysis, UAT, process mapping, cutover readiness, training, and change management Coordinate regional planning leads and align activities across functions, regions and business groups Report progress vs. plan, risks and mitigation strategies to functional and business leadership Coordinate ERP issue resolution with IT; align with the analytics team on reporting development Lead standardization and continuous improvement projects for Supply Planning Support supply planners globally with SAP S/4 skills development and troubleshooting Drive adherence to the Global Design Model for supply/production planning Must-have Requirements 6–8+ years of experience in supply chain management Proven experience leading an ERP implementation as a business-side project lead Deep working knowledge of supply chain master data and planning processes Strong project management skills – coordinating cross-functional, cross-regional teams in a matrix environment Background from a manufacturing or production company (internal role, not consulting) Strong analytical skills and ability to translate complex data into decisions Must be authorized to work in the US – no visa sponsorship available Nice To Have Hands-on SAP S/4 HANA experience or other major ERP system Project management certification: PMP or Agile Supply chain certification: APICS, CPIM, CPSM, or CPE Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma methodologies Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field Why This Role You will build something from the ground up – not maintain a legacy system Direct visibility to Director-level leadership and strategic decision-making from day one A stable, global company with a strong reputation in supply chain and operations Long-term runway through 2027 and beyond, with real room to grow Work at the intersection of supply chain, technology, and business transformation Work Location: Hybrid remote in Houston, TX 77042
