About the Position:

The Supply Chain Procurement Logistics Support Specialist will serve as the dedicated, on-site resource responsible for receiving, inspecting, and delivering all procured materials and equipment under the OMES III contract. The Specialist will serve as the first point of contact for all incoming shipments, ensuring that every procurement is properly received, documented, inspected, and routed to the correct end-user or storage location in a timely manner. Additional logistics duties may be assigned as program needs evolve. The position is located in  Greenbelt  MD.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for all incoming OMES III procurements, materials, and equipment shipments.
  • Receive, count, and document all delivered items against purchase orders, packing slips, and shipping manifests.
  • Perform initial inspection of received items to verify condition, quantity, and conformance with order specifications.
  • Process acceptance paperwork and enter receipt records into the applicable procurement or property management system.
  • Identify, flag, and report damaged, short-shipped, or non-conforming deliveries to the procurement team.
  • Coordinate and execute timely delivery of received procurements to the appropriate end-user, work site.
  • Maintain a delivery log to track the chain of custody from receipt through final delivery and acceptance by the end-user.
  • Obtain delivery confirmation signatures or acknowledgments from end-users upon transfer of materials.
  • Track the status of all open procurements from expected delivery through final receipt and delivery confirmation.
  • Maintain organized and accurate receiving records, logs, and supporting documentation for audit and reporting purposes.
  • Coordinate with procurement personnel to resolve open receiving issues, back-orders, and vendor discrepancies.
  • Support property management activities by providing receipt documentation for items requiring property accountability entry.
  • Assist with staging, storage, and organization of received materials in designated receiving or storage areas.
  • Support shipping and outbound logistics activities as needed, including packaging, labeling, and coordinating pickups.
  • Assist with physical inventories of materials and supplies as requested.
  • Perform other logistics duties as assigned by program management.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5 + years of experience in logistics support, receiving, supply chain, or a related operational field.
  • Demonstrated experience receiving, inspecting, and processing incoming shipments in a professional or government contractor environment.
  • Ability to read and verify items against purchase orders, packing slips, and shipping documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail with an ability to identify discrepancies in quantities, conditions, or item specifications.
  • Experience maintaining accurate receiving records, logs, and chain-of-custody documentation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) for tracking, correspondence, and record-keeping.
  • Ability to lift and move packages and equipment as part of normal receiving and delivery duties.
  • Strong coordination skills; able to work effectively with procurement personnel, vendors, and end-users.
