Supply Chain Operations Specialist

Responsibilities: The position is responsible for, but not limited to: Forecast, Manage, Reposition of Ocean containers Work with the import and export team for balancing to plan demands & supplies of containers Work with marine terminals and trucking companies for smooth flow of containers Reconcile equipment data and follow up Manage documents for accuracy, such as dates, times, location, counts and related information; apply a basic understanding of transportation and service operations. Update operational/customer transportation data in Company systems and applications. Utilize databases, logs, and other sources to locate and verify information; information is usually more routine and accessible. Manage data, audit billing, invoices, and related documents to ensure timely processing. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and maintain a safe and effective work environment. Assist with identifying potential operational or service concerns, notify appropriate co-workers, and assist with resolution. Qualifications : Some logistics knowledge preferred but not necessary Strong working knowledge of PC’s, computer software, and Excel Position requires a high skill level in organization and planning Candidate should possess strong communication and relationship-building skills to support ongoing communication with vendors Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required Would require occasional travel for meetings with vendors and field audits Strong accounting skills are a plus.
