Toray Advanced Composites (TAC) is a leading supplier of advanced composite materials for the aerospace, sporting goods, motor sport, and industrial markets. You will find our thermoset composite products on nearly every satellite, space launch vehicle, unmanned aircraft, military, and commercial aircraft in production today. TAC also provides composite materials to industrial and recreational applications including mountain bikes, medical prosthetics, and sports equipment.
Our thermoplastic prepregs, known in the industry as Cetex, are found in a wide range of commercial and military aircrafts, including large wing structures and interior applications like seats and galleys. Our Cetex products are available in unidirectional tape or fabric form in a variety of engineered thermoplastic resins including PAEK, PEKK, PEEK, PPS, PEI as well as a full line of performance thermoplastics including Nylon, PET, HDPE, and PP.
SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS:
The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for leading daily supply chain execution across procurement, sourcing, supplier management, inventory planning, and material availability activities. This role ensures business commitments are achieved by aligning priorities, resources, and execution across the supply chain organization.
The Supply Chain Manager provides leadership and direction to Commodity Managers, Buyers, Planners, and other assigned personnel while driving accountability for supplier performance, material availability, inventory health, ERP data integrity, and shortage resolution. This position serves as the primary execution leader for supply chain activities and is responsible for translating supply chain strategy into operational results.
The Supply Chain Manager partners closely with Operations, Planning, Quality, Engineering, Customer Service, Finance, and suppliers to ensure material flow supports production requirements, customer commitments, and business objectives. The role also supports strategic sourcing initiatives, continuous improvement efforts, SIOP execution, supplier development activities, and organizational capability building.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supply Chain Execution Leadership
• Lead daily and weekly execution activities across the Supply Chain organization
• Establish priorities and allocate resources to support production schedules, customer commitments, and inventory objectives
• Drive accountability for supplier delivery, shortage management, recovery actions, and material availability
• Monitor team performance and remove barriers impacting execution
• Ensure supply chain commitments are met through disciplined execution and follow-through
• Lead escalation management for critical supplier, inventory, and material availability issues
People Leadership
• Directly supervise Commodity Managers, Buyers, Planners, and other assigned personnel
• Recruit, train, coach, develop, and evaluate team members
• Establish performance objectives, development plans, and succession readiness
• Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching and feedback
• Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and customer focus
• Ensure adequate staffing and capability to support current and future business requirements
Supplier Management
• Lead supplier escalation and recovery activities for critical shortages and performance issues
• Monitor supplier performance related to delivery, quality, responsiveness, capacity, and service
• Ensure supplier performance issues are addressed through corrective actions and recovery plans
• Support supplier business reviews and performance improvement initiatives
• Coordinate supplier communications related to forecasts, priorities, schedule changes, and recovery plans
• Partner with Commodity Managers on supplier development and risk mitigation activities
Sourcing and Procurement Leadership
• Ensure sourcing activities are executed effectively across all commodities
• Review and support major sourcing decisions, negotiations, and supplier selections
• Ensure procurement activities align with commodity strategies and business objectives
• Support implementation of cost reduction, productivity, and supplier development initiatives
• Review major commercial recommendations prior to leadership approval
• Drive compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and governance requirements
Inventory and Planning Management
• Monitor inventory performance across both sites to balance service, inventory, and working capital objectives
• Ensure planning parameters, lead times, pricing, and supplier data are maintained accurately within ERP systems
• Drive reduction of shortages, past due purchase orders, excess inventory, and premium freight
• Support forecasting and inventory planning processes to ensure material availability
• Monitor inventory trends and recommend corrective actions as needed
SIOP and Cross Functional Coordination
• Represent Supply Chain execution activities within the SIOP process
• Ensure supplier commitments, material constraints, shortages, and risks are visible and actively managed
• Coordinate closely with Operations, Planning, Quality, Engineering, Customer Service, and Finance
• Align teams around priorities, constraints, and recovery plans
• Support implementation of supply chain initiatives, business improvements, and operational projects
Continuous Improvement and Strategic Projects
• Lead supply chain improvement initiatives focused on supplier performance, inventory optimization, process effectiveness, and execution excellence
• Support ERP enhancements, reporting improvements, and system implementation activities
• Participate in strategic sourcing, supply chain transformation, and organizational development projects
• Support leadership initiatives related to sourcing strategy, supply risk management, and supply chain performance
• Develop and maintain KPI reporting and management operating systems (MOS)

EXPERIENCE AND/OR EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Engineering, or related field required, Master's degree preferred
• 8+ years of experience in Purchasing, Commodity Management, Supply Chain, Planning, or Manufacturing Operations
• 3+ years of direct supervisory or management experience
• Manufacturing experience required; aerospace or composites experience preferred
• Strong understanding of procurement, supplier management, inventory management, ERP/MRP systems, and supply chain execution
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and drive performance through others
• Experience leading cross-functional projects and business improvement initiatives
• Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and ERP/planning systems
• Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a dynamic manufacturing environment
• Ability to communicate effectively with suppliers, customers, operations teams, and leadership
• Maintain work areas in a neat, orderly, and safe manner
• Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements
Salary Range: $110,000 - $140,000/ year
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
There are no special requirements of the job other than the ability to perform normal computer-related tasks. Must be able to spend extended periods of time walking throughout the manufacturing facility as part of normal job responsibilities. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds. Perform all duties in compliance with regulatory and company requirements.
