Wayne Wire Cloth Products IncAre you an experienced supply chain professional with a knack for strategic sourcing and process optimization? As our Remote Supply Chain Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the uninterrupted flow of materials across our supply network, driving supplier performance to boost operational efficiency, and delivering cross-functional supply chain recommendations to executive leaders all from your home office. You will work closely with our Operations, Quality, and Engineering teams via virtual collaboration tools to analyze demand forecasts, establish sourcing strategies for specialized metals and components, and identify cost-saving or risk-mitigation opportunities. What You'll Do (Essential Duties): Supply Chain Strategy & Analysis: Conduct market and supplier studies, analyze procurement trends, and prepare actionable recommendations for sourcing strategies, inventory policies, and operational improvements. Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management: Partner with Quality and Engineering to qualify and audit suppliers through virtual assessments and documentation reviews, negotiate contracts, and establish vendor performance metrics to ensure on-time delivery and material conformance. Demand Planning & Inventory Optimization: Assist in creating and publishing monthly demand forecasts, inventory targets, and procurement plans to optimize working capital and support production schedules across multiple facilities. Logistics & Materials Support: Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics across all facilities through carrier and 3PL management systems, while providing remote backup support for expediting and warehouse coordination as needed. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as a key team member across cross-functional groups using video conferencing, shared dashboards, and ERP systems, answer supply chain inquiries from internal stakeholders and vendors, and assist with training or providing direction to peers. What You'll Need (Remote Requirements): Proven experience in supply chain management, preferably within aerospace, automotive, or precision manufacturing industries. Strong proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., Epicor, SAP, Oracle) and supply chain analytics tools. Excellent virtual communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across multiple locations. Self-directed work ethic with the ability to manage priorities independently in a remote environment. Familiarity with AS9100D, ISO 9001, or NADCAP supply chain requirements is a plus. Skills Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP ERP, Oracle EBS, and SQL database management for supply chain planning and data analysis. Strong knowledge of supply chain management concepts including demand forecasting analysis, inventory management, procurement strategies, and logistics optimization. Expertise in process improvement methodologies including Lean management principles like Kaizen and Six Sigma tools for root cause analysis. Experience with business intelligence software such as Tableau or Power BI for data visualization and reporting purposes. Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead initiatives from conception through execution while managing multiple priorities effectively. Demonstrated team management capabilities; ability to motivate cross-functional teams towards continuous improvement goals.
