Purpose of Position:
The position is responsible for monitoring all CHEP pallet transactions on global level to ensure that transfers to and from Del Monte locations are made timely, and accurately in the CHEP’s portal system, avoiding penalties for late reports. The position is also responsible for providing support on inventory management, auditing processes and training not only for CHEP transactions, but also for the growing volumes of all other pallet and RPCs rental programs such as iGPS, Peco, IFCO, Tosca, Arena, etc.
Accountabilities:
- Monitor shipments of CHEP pallets from and to all the Del Monte locations on a global level, making sure that all transactions are timely and accurately recorded on the CHEP Portal.
- Communicate and ensure that regions (on a global level) properly report (in portals) inbounds and outbounds of ALL CHEP pallets.
- Advise operations about how to properly manage CHEP pallets inventories, aiming to keep pallets flowing at reduced cycle-times.
- Manage the auditing process, including physical counts if needed made by CHEP at a global level.
- Communicate directly with SALES and other teams on the additional costs when shipping CHEP pallets outside of their network, including to other countries.
- Monitor the CHEP Non-Participant shipments’ rate and work on projects with each operation and destination to keep this rate at a reasonable level.
- Monitor all transactions related to all other pallet and RPCs rental programs (unless otherwise specified) and support the operations with training, reporting, auditing, etc.
- Monitor Forecast VS Actual volumes of pallets on a monthly basis and provide feedback to both the Del Monte operations and CHEP to avoid surplus/cycle time charges.
Minimum Skills Required:
- Business related college degree or equivalent experience min. 3 years' work experience.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience with supply chains.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience with data analysis.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in an inventory role.
- Strong knowledge of the MyCHEP portal.
- Strong focus on customer care and relationship management.
- Strong interpersonal & communication skills for efficient communication within all levels of the organization, and their supply chain.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Effectively prioritize multiple goals to ensure time is spent on most valuable activities.
- Work independently with little supervision.
- Detail oriented with strong analytical skills.
- Ability to multi-task and effectively manage time and resources.
- Intermediate MS Office skills, specifically strong in Excel.
- Continuous improvement mindset.
- Strong collaboration skills.
