Supplier Quality Specialist
AvianorReporting to the Quality Assurance Manager , the Supplier Quality Specialist is responsible for ensuring supplier performance, compliance, and reliability in order to guarantee the quality of products delivered to the organization. Responsibilities 1. Supplier Approval Management Conduct on-site supplier audits, including the assessment of processes, capabilities, and quality systems. Ensure timely supplier approvals by maintaining proactive management of supplier qualification files. Monitor and analyze supplier-related non-conformances, documenting deviations and identifying root causes. Follow up on supplier corrective actions (8D, RDP) through to full closure. Continuously update and maintain the supplier approval process, including forms, criteria, and supporting documentation. Manage supplier First Article Inspections (FAIs), including validation of first-piece conformity. Develop or revise Quality Control (QC) inspection plans based on risk, contractual requirements, or quality history. Track and report key supplier quality KPIs, including product conformity, delivery reliability, defect rates (non-conforming products), on-time and in-full delivery (OTIF), cost of poor quality (returns/scrap), and Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs). Transfer supplier data into the ERP system while ensuring the integrity and consistency of migrated information. Draft, maintain, and continuously improve the Supplier Quality Manual, which serves as the reference for company quality requirements. Conduct monthly Supplier Quality Reviews in collaboration with the Purchasing Department. 2. Customer Satisfaction and Quality Assurance Participate in customer external audits. Support problem-solving activities (RDP) related to customer complaints, including investigation, analysis, and resolution support. Complete customer audit questionnaires, accurately representing the organization’s quality management system. Review Avianor FAIs prior to submission to customers. Manage customer deviation requests, including conformity assessment, technical justification, and customer communication. Generate customer satisfaction performance indicators and communicate results to ensure appropriate corrective actions are implemented. 3. Quality Assurance Map and document the company’s business processes. Perform any other related duties as assigned. Required Profile Experience in the aerospace industry. Strong understanding of quality management systems (ISO 9001, AS9100, or equivalent). Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and effective priority management. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with internal and external stakeholders. Ability to manage suppliers and maintain professional relationships focused on continuous improvement. Bilingualism (French and English) is required to communicate with suppliers, customers, and regulatory authorities. What We Offer 3 weeks of vacation. Additional flexible bank of 64 hours.
