Job Title : Supplier Quality Engineer Reporting To: Manager, QA Assurance Work Schedule: Onsite – Mineral Wells, TX Our Moog Military Aircraft Group is looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer to serve as the primary quality liaison between the company and its suppliers, ensuring purchased materials and components meet quality, regulatory, and customer requirements. You will report directly to the Quality Director and have an onsite work schedule in Mineral Wells, TX. Moog Avionics delivers customer-focused technologies and customized solutions for Special Mission, Military & Defense, Military Trainer, Business, and General Aviation industries. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline. Minimum of three years in a manufacturing quality role. Experience working in a team-based manufacturing environment. Working knowledge of quality engineering, quality assurance, and inspection methodologies. Experience with supplier quality management, audits, corrective actions, and nonconformance resolution. Basic understanding of statistical analysis and root cause investigation tools (SPC, 5 Why, Fault Tree Analysis). Preferred Qualifications: Experience as a Quality Engineer or Supplier Quality role. AS9100 Quality System Auditor training or certification. Experience conducting supplier quality system and process audits. Knowledge with continuous improvement methodologies. Responsibilities: Evaluating, approving, and auditing suppliers. Monitoring supplier quality performance and scorecards. Investigating supplier-related quality issues and driving corrective actions. Reviewing First Article Inspection (FAI) reports and qualification documentation. Managing supplier nonconformances and material rejections. Conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective/preventive actions. Supporting continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives at supplier sites. Performing supplier process and quality system audits. Collaborating with Purchasing, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality teams. Maintaining supplier quality metrics and reporting performance trends. Ensuring compliance with quality standards, specifications, and contractual requirements.
