Subcontract Safety Training Instructor
Province Wide Safety Training Ltd.Province Wide Safety Training Ltd. (PWST) is looking for experienced instructors to deliver workplace safety training on a subcontract basis. Whether you want regular, ongoing work or just the occasional course, we would like to hear from you. Two ways to work with us - Casual: Take a course here and there, when it suits you. A great fit if you are semi-retired, winding down from a career in the trades, equipment operation or safety, or want extra income alongside other work. You choose the jobs you accept. - Regular: We have steady, year-round bookings for instructors who want consistent work. Tell us which you are looking for when you apply. Pay and travel - $350 per course, paid by invoice - Mileage and travel expenses covered for out-of-town training - Work as much or as little as you like, with training booked year-round - Course materials, tests and certificates provided by PWST - We handle the sales, booking and client billing, so you can focus on teaching Courses we deliver - Mobile equipment: Forklift, Skid Steer, Telehandler, Front End Loader, Excavator, Grader, Tractor, Sweeper Scrubber - Lifts and cranes: MEWP (Scissor Lift and Aerial Lift), Bucket Truck, Mobile Crane, Overhead Crane, Rigging and Slinging - Working at heights: Fall Protection, Basic Fall Arrest, Scaffold, Ladder Safety - General safety: WHMIS, Confined Space Awareness, Safety Committee and Worker Representative training, First Aid - Train the Trainer programs for most of the above We are looking for instructors who can cover as many of these courses as possible. Casual instructors can stick to the courses they know best. What you will do - Deliver professional, high-quality training at client workplaces, including theory and practical instruction - Evaluate participants through written tests and practical assessments - Complete course paperwork accurately and submit it on time - Represent PWST in a positive and professional manner What you bring - Instructor experience, or solid hands-on industry experience and a willingness to learn to teach our courses - Strong communication skills and comfort teaching adult learners - Strong attention to detail with paperwork and documentation - Reliable vehicle and valid driver's licence - Some flexibility for the occasional evening or weekend session - Relevant instructor certifications or safety designations are an asset Work area Most training takes place at client workplaces in Winnipeg and surrounding areas, with some travel throughout Manitoba depending on client needs.
