Strategic Sourcing Manager | Life Sciences 📍 Boston, MA | Hybrid 📅 12-Month Contract 👤 1 Opening We’re partnering with a leading life sciences organization in Boston that is looking for a Strategic Sourcing Manager to support its commercial organization on a 12-month contract basis. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong strategic sourcing/procurement foundation who is ready to take on greater ownership of sourcing initiatives, supplier relationships, and commercial negotiations. The right person will be comfortable working cross-functionally with business stakeholders, Procurement, Legal, and Finance in a fast-paced environment. What You’ll Do Lead sourcing initiatives from initial business requirements through contract execution Develop sourcing strategies that align with business and commercial objectives Conduct market research, supplier assessments, and competitive analysis Manage RFP, RFI, and RFQ processes Evaluate suppliers and develop recommendations for stakeholders and leadership Manage relationships with key suppliers and support ongoing supplier governance Monitor supplier performance, risks, and opportunities for continuous improvement Partner with internal stakeholders to address supplier-related issues Lead commercial negotiations for SOWs, MSAs, renewals, amendments, and related agreements Negotiate pricing, service levels, commercial terms, rebates, and other contractual provisions Coordinate with Legal, Procurement, Finance, and business partners throughout the contracting process What We’re Looking For Experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or a related commercial function Experience managing sourcing events from start to finish Strong supplier evaluation and negotiation skills Experience working with contracts such as SOWs and MSAs Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Ability to independently manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Experience within pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, healthcare, or another regulated industry is a plus Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience preferred Why This Opportunity?
