Role Description The Diesel Technician role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Memphis Metropolitan Area. In this role, the technician performs diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on diesel trucks and related equipment, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems. Daily responsibilities include conducting preventive maintenance inspections, identifying mechanical and electrical issues, replacing or repairing components, and documenting all work performed in service records. The Diesel Technician uses diagnostic tools, follows manufacturer specifications and safety procedures, and collaborates with the service team to ensure timely and high-quality repairs. The role also involves communicating clearly with service advisors and customers about findings, repair options, and timelines to support a positive service experience. Qualifications Strong skills in Vehicle Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair for diesel trucks and related systems. Experience with Preventive Maintenance, including inspections, routine services, and compliance with safety standards. Capability in Troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and technical manuals. Customer Service skills to communicate clearly, manage expectations, and support a professional service experience. Relevant technical training or certification in diesel technology or heavy-duty truck repair. Ability to read and interpret service manuals, wiring diagrams, and repair documentation. Comfort working in a fast-paced shop environment with attention to safety, cleanliness, and organization. Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting parts, standing for extended periods, and working with tools and equipment.
