Straight Truck / Material Handler

Local Truck Driver / Material Handler Presto Packaging & Foam Inc. | Owatonna, MN Presto Packaging & Foam is looking for a dependable, safety-minded person to handle material transfers, operate forklifts, and keep our operations moving. This is a hands-on position combining truck driving, lumber handling, and loading and unloading materials. Already have forklift experience and want to grow your driving career? We are willing to help the right candidate obtain a Class A CDL to operate additional trucks in our fleet. What You’ll Do Drive a box truck to transfer materials between Presto locations and other designated destinations. Drive a flatbed straight truck to transport lumber and other materials. Operate a forklift to load, unload, stage, and move lumber, pallets, and packaging materials. Verify material quantities and complete transfer paperwork accurately. Secure loads properly and check that materials are ready for safe transport. Perform vehicle inspections and promptly report maintenance or safety concerns. Coordinate with shipping, receiving, and production to keep materials moving where they are needed. Material handling and other shop or warehouse tasks when driving duties are complete. Keep trucks, equipment, and work areas clean and organized. What We’re Looking For Previous forklift operating experience required. Valid driver’s license and a driving record acceptable for company vehicle operation. The appropriate license and qualifications for assigned vehicles before operating them. Box truck, straight truck, or flatbed experience preferred. Experience handling lumber or other large materials is a plus. Willingness and ability to work toward a Class A CDL. Strong attention to safety, load securement, and material accuracy. Dependability, clear communication, and the ability to work independently. Willingness to get out of the truck and help the team.
