Store Driver / Runner

Summary The Store Driver/Runner is responsible for transporting, delivering, and picking up merchandise, materials, equipment, and documents related to company operations. The position also provides warehouse support by assisting with order preparation, loading and unloading products, inventory organization, and other operational activities to ensure efficient and timely service to both internal and external customers. This position requires a customer service-oriented attitude, a strong commitment to safety, punctuality and the ability to safely handle and move heavy materials. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Perform company errands and special assignments as directed by management. Support special projects, urgent deliveries, and operational initiatives. Always maintain a professional demeanor and exceptional customer service. Deliver and pick up documents, equipment, parts, materials, and supplies for customers, vendors, and company locations. Verify that delivered merchandise matches shipping orders and delivery documentation. Obtain signatures or proof of delivery in accordance with established procedures. Maintain ongoing communication with supervisors regarding routes, deliveries, and any incidents. Plan efficient routes to maximize productivity and minimize delays. Comply with all applicable traffic laws and regulations in the State of Florida. Load, unload, move, and properly store air conditioning equipment, condensers, evaporators, parts, and related materials. Utilize appropriate tools and equipment to safely handle merchandise. Inspect products for damage before and after transportation. Perform other related duties as assigned by management. Warehouse May prepare orders for delivery or customer pickup. May participate in physical inventory counts and periodic inventory audits. Assist with labeling, sorting, and stocking merchandise in designated warehouse locations. Assist in receiving merchandise from suppliers and vendors. Safety Conduct daily inspections of assigned vehicles. Immediately report accidents, mechanical issues, or unsafe conditions. Properly use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Comply with company safety policies, loss prevention procedures, and operational standards. Education / Experience High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Minimum of two (2) years of experience in delivery services, warehousing, distribution, or related positions. Experience in HVAC, refrigeration, or construction industry is preferred. License / Certifications Valid Florida driver's license. Satisfactory driving record and insurability in accordance with company policies. Forklift certification is preferred but not required. Skills Bilingual (English/Spanish), both verbal and written. Basic knowledge of local routes and geographic areas. Ability to use GPS navigation applications. Ability to interpret delivery orders and shipping documentation. Basic organizational and inventory management skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Physical Demands The employee must be able to: Regularly lift, push, and move up to 50 pounds without assistance. Lift more than 50 pounds with mechanical assistance or the help of another employee. Frequently stand, walk, bend, stoop, crouch, and climb stairs. Enter and exit delivery vehicles multiple times throughout the day. Work indoors and outdoors in environments exposed to heat, humidity, and changing weather conditions.
