Store Assistant Manager

Duties Assist in managing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory control, and cash handling. Lead, motivate, and supervise retail staff to deliver outstanding customer service and meet sales goals. Oversee merchandising, stock replenishment, pricing strategies, and product placement to maximize sales potential. Conduct employee orientation, training, and development sessions to enhance team performance and knowledge. Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints efficiently, and ensure a positive shopping experience. Support recruiting efforts by participating in interviewing candidates and onboarding new employees. Manage POS (Point of Sale) systems for transactions, returns, and sales reporting while ensuring accuracy in payroll and bookkeeping processes. Skills Strong skills with proven experience in retail store supervision or assistant manager roles. Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead teams effectively and manage managerial conversations confidently. Proficient in inventory management, stock control, and operational management techniques. Skilled in negotiation, purchasing, pricing strategies, and sales management to drive revenue growth. Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases. Demonstrated experience with POS systems, cashiering, cash handling, and retail math calculations. Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of retail industry sales team management, marketing strategies, and merchandising principles.
