Red Dot CorporationDescription: Red Dot Corporation, the leading producer of premium mobile HVAC units and components for heavy-duty commercial and military vehicles, is recruiting for the following position: Reports to: Area Team Lead Department: Stockroom Location: Puyallup FLSA Status: Regular, Non-Exempt Shift: Regular schedule is four 10-hour shifts, Monday through Thursday, 6:30 AM to 5:15 PM Compensation: $20.50/hr JOB SUMMARY: Primarily assigned to either the shipping or bagging area, but may be asked to learn other roles within the warehouse as well. Performs a variety of warehousing functions, which may include: shipping, receiving, cycle counting, inventory control, supply documentation, data input, material distribution and delivery. Safely operates lift trucks and related material handling equipment as required. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Essential Functions: Collects, unpackages, and organizes parts to fill assembly work orders in a timely manner. Delivers parts to assembly areas throughout the plant. Communicates shortages and issues to the team by radio, instant message, email, and other means. Safely operates lift trucks as required to retrieve and store inventory. Conducts inventory transactions and moves inventory to point of use. Maintains inventory and keeps the work area clean. Assists with cycle counts and inventory validations as required. Requirements: Job Qualifications: Required High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 1-2 years of warehouse or distribution center experience. Ability to access data on a computer and enter information accurately. Ability to multitask and handle multiple deadlines and priorities. Ability to lift 35 to 50 pounds, and to stand and bend frequently. Ability to work on your feet for 10-hour shifts, walking frequently. Ability to become forklift certified within 30 days of hire. Good attendance record. Ability to interact and communicate effectively with peers, supervisors, and upper management. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint). Willingness to work mandatory overtime when necessary. Preferred Prior material handling or inventory control experience. Current forklift certification (highly desired).
