Since opening the first store in Vancouver, we have grown to 4 locations in BC: Strathcona (Clark Drive), Downtown Vancouver, Richmond and Victoria. Visit our Careers page: https://www.fujiya.ca/careers Job Overview In this role, you will receive, process, and stock products, according to company rules and strategies. You will also prepare incoming and outgoing shipments and provide customer support related to product knowledge or availability. Schedule Preferably full time and including 1 weekend day. Shift times either 9:30AM-5:30PM or 10:00AM-6:00PM. Wage $18.75-$19.50/hr. Can be discussed further if you have previous related experience. Duties Receive and inspect products. Check and inform Leads or Managers regarding damage, expired, or missing items Maintain correct regular and special prices on price stickers, shelf labels and signage Perform daily restocking in an efficient manner Follow proper merchandising standards Perform inventory counts Assist customers with product questions or requests Follow proper handling and equipment safety procedures Follow cleaning, receiving and inventory policies and procedures Safely operate and maintain warehouse and store equipment Qualifications Attention to detail Effective communication and interpersonal skills Basic computer skills Knowledge of Japanese food and products an asset Physical ability to do tasks (including standing/walking, lifting and carrying up to 40LB, using hands/wrists) Benefits & Perks Employee store discount Extended health benefits with Health Spending Accounts Free food Employee events You'll get to learn about Japanese food and culture - you may even learn some Japanese too!
