MATRIX INDUSTRIESJob Overview STEEL DETAILER/ESTIMATOR We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Steel Detailer/Estimator specializing in Tekla Structures to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale steel fabrication and erection projects by creating precise, detailed shop drawings and accurate cost estimates. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in structural steel detailing and estimating. Your expertise will directly impact project efficiency, quality, and safety, helping us deliver exceptional results for our clients. Duties Develop detailed 3D models of steel structures using Tekla Structures, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specifications. Prepare comprehensive construction shop drawings, and fabrication details that facilitate seamless manufacturing and erection processes. Collaborate closely with project managers, and fabricators to interpret design intent and resolve technical issues proactively. Generate precise material take-offs and cost estimates based on detailed models to support project budgeting and procurement activities. Utilize autocad when needed Qualifications Proven experience in steel detailing with expertise in Tekla Structures. Strong knowledge of construction detail documentation and fabrication processes within the steel industry. Excellent drafting skills combined with an understanding of engineering CAD design principles. Ability to interpret drawings accurately while maintaining attention to detail under tight deadlines. Construction experience or background working directly on steel fabrication or erection projects is a strong plus.
