Description

As a Sr Sales Operations Specialist here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in driving operational excellence and supporting the sales team to achieve their goals. Your expertise will help streamline processes, enhance productivity, and ensure that our sales operations run smoothly. This professional will operate within a government contracting environment, minding the terms and conditions that underpin our customer relations. 

 

You will report directly to our Sales Operations Manager and you’ll work out of our Lansdale, PA location on a Hybrid work schedule. Please note all new hires must report onsite fully for the first 90 days. 

 

Join a dynamic team and play a key role in Mission Systems BD & Strategy Operations, driving efficiency, accountability, and operational excellence across the Business Development and Program Management organizations. In this position, you will manage web inquiries, process and track RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs—including evaluations and repairs—and maintain accurate, real‑time visibility into proposal activity. The ideal candidate is a proactive team contributor who can independently lead BD operating activities, engage confidently with internal stakeholders and external customers, and communicate changes clearly to keep the team aligned. Success in this role requires professionalism, a collaborative mindset, and a commitment to going above and beyond to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partner with the Capture & Proposal team and other functional leads, including Engineering and Operations, to drive efficiency through the business capture cycle.
  • Track repairs, quotes, and proposals through the proposal life cycle; from the initial request to the review and approval of the Purchase Order, Quote, or Proposal
  • Analyze requests for Information, requests for quotes, and requests for proposals to establish and execute a compliant proposal
  • Coordinate team inputs to ensure administrative tasks are completed expeditiously, and the proposal effort can be launched and completed
  • Coordinate with proposal development team to ensure all estimating elements are identified and addressed in the plan
  • Oversee the assembly, review and incorporation of the inputs from the functional organizations
  • Monitor proposal development schedule progress to achieve on time and accurate delivery success 
  • Provide consistent support and maintenance of data quality and integrity for all systems and ancillary reporting processes - including SalesForce.com, Content Management, Visual, Excel outputs, etc. 
  • Provide support to the Business Development & Program Management Team with regard to accurately capturing current status of proposal activity, proactively following up on open opportunities, and supporting sales initiatives month over month
  • Manage and triage web inquiries, ensuring timely and appropriate disposition within SalesForce.com
  • Actively participate in Department and Company-wide process-improvement efforts
  • Travel less than 10%


Responsibilities

YOU MUST HAVE

  • 5 or more years of experience in sales operations, sales support, or a similar role.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools, particularly Salesforce, for managing sales data and processes.
  • Experience with sales forecasting and pipeline management to support sales strategies.
  • Knowledge of sales processes and best practices to enhance operational efficiency.
