DescriptionThe Director of Logistics Engineering, PMO & Analytics leads a global team to design, optimize, and scale Honeywell’s distribution network through advanced industrial engineering, robust program governance, and data-driven decision-making. This role owns the roadmap for warehouse engineering, enterprise logistics systems (ERP/WMS/TMS), and analytics capabilities that improve service, reduce cost, and enhance resilience across Honeywell Aerospace Logistics.
You will partner closely with IT, Operations, Supply Chain and Finance to deploy future-ready solutions, from warehouse layout and MHE design to WMS/TMS advancements, analytics/automation, and process standardization while ensuring compliance and driving a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities
Strategic & Cross-Functional Leadership
- Set the multi-year strategy and roadmap for logistics engineering, systems, and analytics in alignment with Honeywell’s global supply chain strategy and business objectives.
- Lead a global team of engineers, PMO leaders, system architects, and data professionals; attract, develop, and mentor talent.
- Influence senior stakeholders; translate technical concepts into clear business outcomes and investment decisions.
Industrial & Warehouse Engineering
- Own distribution center design: facility layout, slotting, storage strategies, and MHE selection/specs using tools such as AutoCAD and industry-standard methodologies (e.g., time studies, labor standards).
- Define and maintain labor management standards (methods, standards, and measurements) that improve productivity, safety, and quality.
- Build and run modeling & simulation (incl. sensitivity analyses and scenario planning) to validate capacity, throughput, staffing, and resilience for current and future-state operations.
- Partner with Operations to implement engineered standards, work design, and CI (Lean/Six Sigma) improvements across sites.
Systems & Integration (ERP/WMS/TMS and Adjacent Tech)
- Oversee the implementation, enhancement, and integration of ERP, WMS, and TMS platforms; ensure scalability, interoperability, and robust change management.
- Partner with IT and cybersecurity on architecture, data governance, and system performance; manage vendor relationships and lifecycle roadmaps.
- Drive adoption of automation and digital solutions (e.g., MHE/WMS integrations, labor management systems, voice/pick-to-light, dock/yard optimization, transportation optimization).
PMO Governance & Portfolio Delivery
- Establish and lead the Logistics PMO, including intake, prioritization, stage-gate governance, risk/issue management, and benefits realization.
- Create standard project/portfolio dashboards, cadence, and KPIs (on-time, on-budget, scope, value delivered) to ensure transparency and execution discipline.
- Manage cross-functional programs with clear charters, RACI, and change management plans to drive adoption and sustain outcomes.
Data, Analytics & Insights
- Own the data & analytics strategy for logistics—architect data models and pipelines in partnership with IT; ensure data quality, lineage, and governance.
- Build analytics products and self-service dashboards using SQL, Python/R, Power BI, Tableau to deliver insights on cost, service, productivity, inventory, capacity, and transportation performance.
- Enable predictive and prescriptive analytics (forecasting, what-if modeling, optimization) for network planning, inventory positioning, transportation sourcing, and DC operations.
Compliance, Risk, and Security
- Ensure compliance with U.S. export control laws, trade compliance, data privacy, SOX (as applicable), and hazardous materials handling requirements.
- Proactively identify and mitigate operational, cyber, and regulatory risks across engineering, systems, and analytics programs.
QualificationsYou Must Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, Information Systems, or related technical discipline.
- 8+ years of progressive leadership in industrial engineering and/or logistics systems and analytics, including management of multi-site/global teams.
- Demonstrated expertise in:
- Warehouse engineering (layout, MHE, slotting, labor standards, AutoCAD).
- ERP/WMS/TMS implementation and integration in complex environments.
- PMO governance and portfolio delivery for cross-functional logistics programs.
- Analytics (SQL, Python/R) and BI (Power BI, Tableau) for operational decision-making.
- Proficiency with MS Project, MS Office; experience with simulation and network modeling tools (e.g., Coupa Supply Chain Design & Planning formerly LLamasoft, AnyLogic, Arena or equivalent).
We Value (Preferred)
- Master’s degree (MBA, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field).
- Experience in aerospace or other high-complexity, global supply chains.
- Lean Six Sigma certification/track record with measurable productivity, quality, and service outcomes.
- Strong stakeholder management, executive communication, and change leadership.
- Proven ability to standardize processes, scale best practices, and sustain results in fast-paced, evolving environments.
