WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH

As the Sr. Analyst, Materials Operations Excellence, you will report to the Manager, Materials Operations Excellence. You will partner closely with Nike's Materials Sourcing and Materials Planning teams, serving as the analytical and technical backbone that powers data-driven decision-making across the materials organization. You will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders across Supply Chain, Technology, and Operations to design and deliver reporting solutions, automation workflows, and process improvements that drive efficiency and business impact at scale.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The Sr. Analyst, Materials Operations Excellence supports Nike's global materials sourcing and planning functions by building scalable tools, automating workflows, and translating complex data into clear, compelling insights. This role brings technical depth in modern data and AI tools combined with a passion for continuous improvement and the ability to influence through storytelling.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Data Science, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field; will accept any suitable combination of education, experience, and training
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in data analytics, process improvement, or supply chain operations
  • Proficiency in SQL for data querying, manipulation, and pipeline development
  • Experience with Alteryx for data blending, workflow automation, and self-service analytics
  • Experience building and maintaining dashboards and visualizations in Tableau
  • Familiarity with Databricks for scalable data engineering and Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration
  • Demonstrated experience leveraging AI-powered development tools (e.g., Cursor or similar) to accelerate analytical output and improve code quality
  • Strong ability to translate complex, multi-dimensional data into clear, actionable narratives for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience in materials planning, strategic sourcing, or supply chain analytics is preferred

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

As a Sr. Analyst, Materials Operations Excellence, you will be the conduit between raw data and meaningful business action. You'll build the tools, pipelines, and stories that help Nike's Materials Sourcing and Planning teams operate at their best.

  • You will design, build, and maintain Tableau dashboards and reporting solutions that give Materials Sourcing and Planning teams real-time visibility into KPIs, trends, and performance opportunities.
  • You will develop and automate data workflows, reducing manual effort and increasing speed-to-insight across the materials organization.
  • You will leverage SQL, Python, Databricks to query, transform, and model large-scale supply chain datasets, enabling scalable and repeatable analytics.
  • You will actively use AI-powered tools such as Cursor and GitHub Copilot to accelerate development, prototype new solutions, and drive a culture of innovation within the team.
  • You will identify, design, and lead process improvement initiatives in partnership with Materials Sourcing and Planning stakeholders to streamline operations, reduce friction, and eliminate inefficiencies.
  • You will craft compelling data stories for senior leadership, applying best-in-class visualization and communication practices to turn analysis into action and alignment.
  • You will serve as a subject matter expert on the Materials Operations Excellence toolset, training and enabling partners across sourcing and planning to adopt new capabilities and ways of working.
