Position Overview

Iacofano’s Catering & Events is hiring a Catering Expo / QA Coordinator to oversee food quality, order accuracy, and delivery readiness in our fast-paced production kitchen.

This is one of the most important roles in the operation—you are the final checkpoint before every order leaves the building.

You will ensure every order is accurate, complete, properly packaged, and on time, while coordinating closely with both the kitchen and delivery drivers to keep everything running smoothly.

This role combines quality control, logistics, and kitchen coordination—not a typical restaurant expo position.

Available Shifts

We operate a 24/7 production kitchen, and this role supports all shifts depending on business needs.

Current openings include:

  • Day Shift: Example 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM or 5:00 AM - 1:00 PM (corporate catering & same-day production)
  • Afternoon Shift: Example 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM or 1:00 PM - 9:00 PM (next-day prep, inflight builds, kitchen flow)
  • Overnight Shift + SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL $: Example 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM or 9:00 PM - 5:00 AM (crew meals, early departures, final builds)
  • Full-time and part-time positions available
  • Weekend availability may be required

Shifts are assigned based on business needs, with opportunities to grow into preferred or leadership shifts over time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review all orders for accuracy, quality, and completeness
  • Verify food presentation, packaging, and portioning standards
  • Coordinate timing between kitchen production and delivery schedules
  • Stage and organize orders for efficient driver pickup
  • Communicate with drivers on routes, timing, and order details
  • Identify and resolve issues before orders leave the kitchen
  • Maintain a clean, organized expo/QA station
  • Assist with order printing, layout, and final checks
  • Support overall kitchen flow during peak production times

What Makes a Great Fit

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Strong sense of urgency and accountability
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple orders at once
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Problem-solver who catches mistakes before they happen
  • Team player who supports both kitchen and drivers
Requirements

Requirements

  • Previous kitchen, catering, or food service experience preferred
  • Experience in expo, QA, or kitchen coordination is a plus
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure

Why This Job Is Different

  • Not a typical restaurant expo role
  • Focus on quality control and logistics—not just plating
  • Structured systems and clear expectations
  • Direct impact on customer satisfaction and delivery success
  • Opportunity to grow into leadership roles

Bottom Line

If you’re looking for a standard kitchen job, this isn’t it.
If you want to be part of the engine that ensures every order is right, on time, and executed at a high level, this is a critical role with real growth potential.
