ConfidentialOverview As a Sprinter Van & Bus Driver with a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class B, you’ll transport passengers safely and reliably in vans, buses, and other assigned vehicles. You’ll support varied transportation needs, including shuttle and paratransit service, while providing attentive assistance to passengers. Your impact: Safe, considerate trips help passengers reach their destinations with confidence. Responsibilities Drive assigned routes using safe, defensive driving practices and sound city street navigation. Assist passengers, including people with special needs, with boarding and exiting. Complete vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs; apply mechanical knowledge to support vehicle readiness. Follow traffic laws, Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, and state transportation and safety regulations. Use two-way radios to communicate clearly with dispatch and other drivers. Skills Required: Valid CDL Class B with air brake qualification, as applicable; safe driving practices; knowledge of passenger safety and transportation regulations. Required: Clear communication skills, customer service, and the ability to assist passengers respectfully. Preferred: Experience in bus driving, paratransit, shuttle driving, motor coach, school bus, van, limousine, commercial driving, or delivery driver roles. Preferred: Familiarity with vehicle maintenance, inspections, adverse weather driving, and English-language communication.
