Overview We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Smoke Shop Retail Operations Supervisor to lead our retail team and ensure smooth daily operations. Responsibilities Supervise daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and POS system management to ensure efficiency and accuracy. Lead, motivate, and develop retail sales team members through effective training, coaching, and performance evaluations to foster a high-performing environment. Manage inventory levels by overseeing stock replenishment, purchasing, merchandising, and inventory control to maximize sales opportunities. Implement sales strategies and promotional activities to meet or exceed sales targets while maintaining excellent customer service standards. Conduct employee orientation, interviewing, and recruiting efforts to build a skilled and motivated team aligned with company goals. Oversee payroll processing, bookkeeping tasks, and budget management to ensure financial accuracy and operational efficiency. Maintain compliance with all legal regulations related to the sale of tobacco products and other merchandise while enforcing store policies. Experience Proven supervisory experience within the retail industry, particularly in managing sales teams and store operations. Strong knowledge of retail management systems such as POS systems, inventory management software, and cash register operations. Demonstrated skills in negotiation, customer service excellence, and managerial communication. Experience with employee training & development, scheduling, budgeting, and operational management is highly desirable. Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases effectively. Familiarity with retail math including pricing strategies, sales analysis, and basic financial calculations. Previous experience in grocery or convenience store environments is beneficial but not required; a strong understanding of retail industry sales team management is essential.
