Overview Join our vibrant retail team as a Smoke Shop Cashier, where you'll be the friendly face and expert resource for our valued customers. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly, providing exceptional service and product guidance Operate the cash register (POS system), processing retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently Handle cash drawer management, including cash handling, balancing registers, and reconciling sales at shift end Assist with stocking shelves, merchandising products, and maintaining an organized store layout Conduct product demos when appropriate to educate customers about new or featured items Promote upselling by suggesting complementary products and special offers to maximize sales Maintain excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely Support inventory management through stock replenishment and accurate record keeping Requirements Previous retail sales or cashier experience, preferably in a grocery or specialty store setting Familiarity with POS systems and cash register operations Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities to serve diverse customer bases (nice-to-have) Demonstrated customer service skills with a positive attitude and active listening abilities Basic math skills for handling transactions, making change, and balancing cash drawers Experience with merchandising, stocking, and product knowledge in retail environments Ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail Prior supervising experience is a plus for potential leadership opportunities Join us to be part of a dynamic team that values energetic service, product expertise, and community engagement.
