Shop Coordinator and Fleet Maintenance

HARTZLER'S QUALITY HOUSING IS HIRING Fleet Maintenance & Shop Coordinator Full-time · Dover, Ohio About Us Hartzler's Quality Housing is a family-owned manufactured and modular home retailer in Dover, Ohio. Our in-house Set, Interior, PDR, Utility, HVAC, and Service crews handle every home from delivery to move-in. About the Role We are looking for a hands-on, organized person to keep our trucks, trailers, and equipment running and our shop and lot in top shape. You will handle routine mechanical work yourself, schedule outside repairs, keep maintenance records, and lead upkeep of the grounds around our shop. What You Will Do Fleet Maintenance & Repair · Perform basic mechanical work such as oil changes, brake replacement, and other repairs you are comfortable with · Schedule larger repairs with local shops and coordinate drop-off and pick-up · Complete monthly preventive maintenance (PM) on all trucks, trailers, and equipment · Flag and tag out any unit that is not safe to operate Records & Inventory · Document all maintenance and file records in each unit's folder · Keep filters, oils, fluids, and common parts stocked and organized Shop & Lot · Keep the shop clean and organized and make sure everyone puts tools and materials away · Handle or direct part-time staff on snow removal, mowing, trash pickup, and lot model checks What We Are Looking For · Basic mechanical knowledge of trucks, trailers, and equipment · Valid driver's license and a driving record that meets company insurance requirements · Organized, dependable, and able to work without close supervision · Willing to take ownership of the shop and lead by example Nice to Have · Experience maintaining a commercial fleet · Ability to operate a skid steer or similar equipment · Basic computer skills for record keeping Physical Requirements · Work outdoors in all weather, including snow removal in winter · Lift up to 50 lbs; bend, kneel, climb, and work under vehicles · Occasional early, late, or weather-driven hours Benefits Paid Holidays · New Year's Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day Paid Vacation · After 6 months of employment: one (1) week · 1–5 years of service: two (2) weeks per year · 6+ years of service: three (3) weeks per year · 10+ years of service: four (4) weeks per year Personal Time Off · Two (2) personal days per year Health Insurance & HSA · Employee group health insurance and HSA, effective after sixty (60) days of employment · Premiums paid on a 70/30 basis (Hartzler's pays 70%) · Hartzler's matches employee HSA contributions up to $1,000 per year Quarterly Bonus Incentive · Bonus based on personal performance and company success on each job completed · Bonuses are paid out at the end of every quarter · New hires are enrolled after working one full quarter Retirement · SIMPLE IRA with a company match of up to 3% of gross pay Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour Expected hours: 45.0 – 55.0 per week Benefits: Dental insurance Flexible schedule Health insurance Health savings account Life insurance Paid time off Retirement plan Vision insurance Work Location: In person
