Summary As a Shop Assistant at Menke Industries, you will be an integral part of our manufacturing team, assisting in the CNC manufacturing process , general inspection, part deburring, and general shop maintenance. This role is essential to maintaining our high standards of quality and efficiency in production. We operate state of the art multi axis milling, turning equipment, complete with robotic automation. Opportunities will exist for growth in learning various programming methods for CNC as well as automation. Responsibilities Assist running production jobs Utilize power tools and hand tools for fabrication tasks as directed by supervisors. Maintain a clean and organized work environment within the manufacturing facility. The ability to learn basic print reading and part measurement. Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines. Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet specifications. Support warehouse operations by assisting with inventory management when needed. Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to mechanical knowledge and tool usage. Qualifications Previous experience in a manufacturing or assembly role is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to operate power tools effectively. Familiarity with safety standards in a factory or warehouse setting. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. Basic understanding of assembly processes and techniques. Experience with forklifts is a plus but not required. Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing tasks. Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
