Shipping & Receiving Specialist

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Specialist to join our logistics team. In this vital role, you will oversee the accurate and efficient handling of incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring seamless warehouse operations. Your expertise will help maintain optimal inventory levels, support order fulfillment processes, and uphold trade compliance standards. Responsibilities Receive, inspect, and verify inbound shipments against purchase orders and shipping documents Prepare outgoing shipments by packaging products securely and accurately, adhering to shipping logistics and trade compliance requirements Operate forklifts and order pickers safely to load and unload trucks, stock shelves, and organize warehouse inventory Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems like AS400, and inventory management software to track stock movements and update records Conduct data entry for shipment documentation, inventory updates, and order processing using Microsoft Office tools when necessary Coordinate with logistics providers to schedule pickups, deliveries, and ensure timely order fulfillment for both domestic and international trade Maintain accurate records of all shipping & receiving activities, including inbound/outbound logs, incident reports, and compliance documentation Support warehouse distribution tasks such as stocking shelves, order picking, packaging products for shipment, and ensuring proper labeling Skills Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management software, and ERP platforms like AS400 Strong knowledge of shipping logistics, trade compliance, international trade regulations, and e-commerce fulfillment processes Experience operating forklifts, order pickers, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Basic math skills for inventory counting, measurements, and calculations related to shipping weights or dimensions Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members, carriers, vendors, and customers Customer service orientation with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of shipping & receiving operations Join our team as a Shipping & Receiving Specialist where your expertise will keep our warehouse running smoothly!
