ASIC CorporationSHIPPING RECEIVING SPECIALIST (full-time, M-F, 8-5) ASIC Corporation, a West Chester, Ohio based motion control distributor & systems integration firm, is now accepting resumes for experienced shipping receiving specialists. We are a growing company offering career opportunities for candidates looking to gain experience in many diverse industries and a multitude of industrial processes including automotive, power, consumer goods, medical, military, paper and steel, just to name a few. This role plays a pivotal part in the successful day to day operations of our company. You will be responsible for receiving all in bound shipments, ensuring that they are not damaged, cross checking the contents to the packing slip and distributing them to their proper location. This will require constant cross department communication to ensure that your tasks are being prioritized according to current business needs. Attention to detail is of the utmost importance to ensure that items are check in and accounted for correctly. You will also be responsible for all out bound shipments, this will include UPS boxes and larger freight pallets and crates. Some physical activity is required to load and unload packages/trucks and to construct pallets/ crates as necessary. Larger pallets/ crates will be loaded/unloaded with a pallet jack or fork lift. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to lift 40 lbs regularly. Computer skills in Microsoft products, specifically: word, excel and outlook. Fork lift operation experience, preferred. Experience using power tools, preferred. Prior shipping/receiving experience in an industrial environment, preferred. Daily Responsibilities: Load and unload parts, materials, and equipment from box trucks, vehicles, LTL, etc. with and without docking capabilities. Compare identifying information and quantities on the packing slip against the purchase order, count items for verification, and indicate any discrepancies. Prepare and package shipments and shipping documents as instructed. Construct/build crates and pallets as needed. Prepare, maintain, and modify company inventory records of items received and shipped. Transfer parts from in house stock to active job carts. Assist other departments as directed.
