Shipping & Receiving Representative

Are you a detail-oriented professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced warehouse and operations environment? We're looking for a dedicated Shipping & Receiving Representative to join our Operations team and play a key role in ensuring accurate receipt, inspection, movement, and shipment of materials and products. In this role, you'll receive and inspect incoming goods, verify inventory accuracy, and prepare materials for shipment to customers and internal operations. You'll safely operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and rigging equipment to move materials throughout the facility while maintaining accurate inventory and shipment records. Working closely with warehouse, production, and logistics teams, you'll help ensure materials are available when needed and that customer orders are fulfilled accurately and on time. What You'll Do Receive and inspect incoming materials and products Prepare and package outgoing materials and products for shipment Operate rigging, forklifts, and overhead cranes to move materials and products Maintain accurate records of inventory and shipments Assist as needed to rectify damages. Shortages, and/or other inaccuracies of incoming material, supplies, or equipment Coordinate with production and engineering teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and products to the assembly and manufacturing processes Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies Maintain a clean and organized shipping and receiving area Perform other duties as assigned Drive safety and continuous improvement. Support ISO requirements Adhere to all GUS policies and procedures Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Forklift certification required; rigging and overhead crane certification preferred. 2-3 years of shipping and receiving experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Experience with inventory management and ERP systems (SAP preferred). Proficient with Microsoft Office and shipping/receiving applications. Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to lift and move materials safely. Additional Requirements Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Willingness to work outside normal business hours as needed to support production demands.
