Shipping/Receiving Material Handler

Hours: 8am-4pm, 12pm-8pm PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Move master rolls, in process rolls, and finished goods within the plant using a clamp truck. 2. Obtains copy of production schedule or shipping order and transports material or equipment to and from designated areas in the facility. 3. Identifies many types of raw material, in process or finished product, equipment, or processing materials. Check identification of materials to be moved, cross-references with production schedule or shipping schedule, and moves to required location. Reports inconsistencies or problems to supervisor. 5. Familiarizes self with productive capacity of machines or loading schedule of shipping services to assure prompt delivery of required items to proper destination, so that equipment does not shut down for lack of supply. 6. Uses snips to open loads, removes strapping and wrapping and disposes of safely in designated containers or areas. Places protective materials around load and uses hand or automatic strapping equipment to secure loads for in-plant handling, interim storage, or final shipment to customers. 7. Loading trucks based on the truck axils, driver preference, or interlocking rolls for secure placement. 8. Operates tier lift truck or uses clamp truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: a) Attention to detail in the workplace. b) Able to lift 50lbs. or more. c) Available for overtime, before and after shifts and weekends. d) Organized and able to read and follow instructions. e) High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others. f) Certified fork truck and clamp truck operator. g) Must have knowledge of products and/or ability to learn about all our products Job Type: Full-time Pay: $18.57 - $19.33 per hour Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Employee assistance program Health insurance Health savings account Life insurance Paid time off Experience: Warehouse : 1 year (Preferred) Materials handling: 1 year (Preferred) Work Location: In person
