The Opportunity
We collaborate with multiple companies in the Coldwater area seeking experienced Shipping & Receiving Leads. These organizations value long-term fit and look for professionals who bring both skill and alignment. By joining our network, you gain access to opportunities tailored to your goals.
Usual Responsibilities
• Resolve shipment errors, carrier delays, and inventory discrepancies with purchasing and production.
• Train new team members on loading, paperwork, and safety procedures.
• Open the shipping area and review the day's outbound orders and inbound deliveries.
• Assign work to shipping and receiving staff and confirm coverage for each shift.
• Check incoming shipments against packing slips and purchase orders and note shortages or damage.
• Prepare outbound shipments with correct labels, paperwork, and loading plans.
• Load and unload trucks and verify counts with drivers before signing off.
• Enter receipts, shipments, and inventory adjustments in the warehouse system.
Recommended Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three or more years in shipping, receiving, or warehouse work in a manufacturing setting.
• Forklift certification and experience operating a forklift safely.
• Experience with shipping software and inventory systems.
• Ability to read packing slips, bills of lading, and purchase orders accurately.
• Prior lead or supervisory experience on a small team.
Bonus Qualifications
• Familiarity with barcode scanning and RF equipment.
• OSHA forklift trainer certification.
• Experience with international shipping documents and customs paperwork.
• Knowledge of lean or 5S practices in a warehouse.
• CDL or experience moving trailers in a yard.
