Job Responsibilities
• Operate forklifts and clamp trucks equipped with various lifting devices to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, and move raw paper materials, work-in-process products, finished goods, equipment, and other materials.
• Transport materials throughout the warehouse, storage yard, and manufacturing facility.
• Load and unload semi-trailer trucks as needed.
• Load and unload materials onto and off pallets, skids, and other lifting devices.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and report discrepancies.
• Perform routine safety inspections and equipment checks before operating lifts.
• Ensure materials are properly handled, balanced, and stored in designated locations.
• Perform basic equipment maintenance as needed, including lubrication, battery charging, fueling, and replacing liquefied gas tanks.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
• Demonstrated experience operating a forklift and/or clamp truck.
• Skilled in operating equipment controls for starting, stopping, backing, driving, lifting, lowering, and tilting loads.
• Ability to safely maneuver equipment through warehouse aisles, ramps, trailers, and confined spaces.
• Understanding of equipment dimensions, load capacities, and proper load balancing.
• Strong spatial awareness and ability to judge clearances, aisle widths, doorway heights, and storage requirements.
• Ability to determine whether equipment can safely lift and transport assigned loads.
• Knowledge of warehouse layout and inventory locations to efficiently locate and store materials with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
• Reliable attendance and willingness to work rotating days and every other weekend.
Pre-Employment Requirements
• Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Must successfully pass a background check.
