Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing the movement of goods, ensuring accurate inventory control, and maintaining smooth shipping and receiving operations. Your expertise in forklift operation, inventory management software, and warehouse logistics will help us deliver exceptional service to our customers and support our overall distribution goals. Responsibilities Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers to load, unload, and transport goods within the warehouse. Accurately receive inbound shipments by inspecting deliveries, verifying quantities against shipping documents, and recording data into inventory management systems. Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and staging orders according to customer specifications and shipping schedules. Maintain precise inventory levels using warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management software; conduct regular stock counts and cycle counts. Ensure compliance with shipping logistics standards, international trade regulations, and trade compliance policies during all operations. Collaborate with warehouse staff to organize stock placement, stocking procedures, and order fulfillment processes. Document all shipping & receiving activities accurately through data entry in ERP systems such as AS400 or similar platforms; generate reports as needed. Requirements Proven experience in warehouse operations with a focus on shipping & receiving activities. Valid forklift certification with demonstrated ability to operate forklifts safely in a busy warehouse environment. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management software, ERP systems (e.g., AS400), and MRP (Material Requirements Planning) tools. Strong understanding of shipping logistics, order picking & packing, and load & unload procedures. Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying shipments accurately. Excellent data entry skills combined with attention to detail for maintaining precise records. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety standards and trade compliance regulations. Customer service mindset with clear communication skills to coordinate with team members and external carriers.
