Shipping & Receiving Coordinator
Tampa Bay FisheriesTampa Bay Fisheries is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Coordinator to join our team. Pay: $18.00 per hour Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM This position will regularly require additional time beyond 5:00 PM based on workload and business needs. The Shipping & Receiving Coordinator is responsible for keeping information, paperwork, inventory, appointments, and communication flowing between the shipping and receiving office, warehouse selectors, supervisors, drivers, cold storage facilities, and other departments. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse and office environment. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Communicate information, instructions, and requests to warehouse selectors, supervisors, drivers, and other departments. Perform daily data entry and maintain accurate records. Monitor inventory and assist with inventory counts as needed. Schedule appointments for incoming and outgoing shipments. Process receiving paperwork and verify that documentation is complete and accurate. Scan and organize shipping, receiving, inventory, invoice, and related paperwork. Create and maintain spreadsheets and reports. Request products from cold storage facilities based on company needs. Coordinate and route cold storage pickups and deliveries with company drivers. Ensure each department receives the appropriate information, including inventory counts, invoices, receivers, and other operational documentation. Answer incoming phone calls, take messages, and direct calls as appropriate. Send and respond to emails and other routine business communications. Maintain organized shipping and receiving records. Occasionally enter the freezer warehouse to perform or assist with inventory counts. Communicate changes, updates, and other important information to the appropriate personnel. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent attention to detail. Basic computer skills, including email, data entry, and Microsoft Excel or similar spreadsheet programs. Ability to work with numbers, paperwork, and inventory information accurately. Ability to communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, drivers, and management. Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Dependable attendance and punctuality. Preferred Qualifications Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus. Previous experience in shipping, receiving, logistics, warehousing, inventory control, or a related field is preferred. Forklift operation experience or certification is a plus. Previous experience with inventory, shipping/receiving paperwork, transportation scheduling, or cold storage operations is a plus. Work Environment This position is primarily based in the Shipping & Receiving office but will require occasional entry into freezer and warehouse areas to perform inventory counts and other operational tasks. Candidates should be comfortable working in both an office and warehouse environment, including occasional exposure to cold temperatures.
