SUMMARY: The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for shipping and receiving all materials and supplies incoming or outgoing of Micro Matic USA. Communicates with purchasing, production, or customer service on any discrepancies found when performing duties. Loads and unload trucks and maintain a safe clean work environment. Adheres to all safety procedures as well as become forklift and WAVE certified. Essential Job Duties: Pulls stock according to FIFO (first in first out) for all sales order shipments and cross-company transfers. Accurately receives in all materials and supplies. Delivers packages to personnel (inter-company) when required. Secures outbound shipments and transfers so products are not damaged during transit. Ensures warehouse safety by using protective safety equipment when required, operating equipment safely, and performing any necessary cleaning tasks. Creates BoLs, commercial invoices, schedules truck pick-ups, ships via UPS Worldship, FedEx Ship Manager and any freight company required. Strives for shipping/receiving accuracy. Pulls shipments and transfers timely and accurately. Need the ability to multitask. Provide support for all other functions required in the warehouse. Maintain forklift batteries. Performs these and other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Experience: High School Diploma or GED is required. One year of shipping/receiving experience is required. Knowledge of manufacturing environment is preferred. Strong attention to detail. Basic computer knowledge, basic math skills, and scale use required. Must have the ability to learn how to operate forklifts, WAVEs, and any other equipment required to perform job duties. Must have the ability to read and verify packing labels, list, and BoLs, unload pallets of materials, inspect materials for damage. Supervisory Responsibilities: This position is not a supervisory role. Language Skills: Ability to read, write, convey, and understand instructions. Mathematical Skills: Knowledge of basic math skills. Ability to count accurately and use a scale. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but structured written or oral instructions. Ability to identify problems involving variables in standardized situations. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. Work Environment: In this environment safety, environmental and health concerns may demand constant attention. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving equipment. The employee is rarely exposed to fumes or airborne particles, or outside weather conditions.
