Shipping & Receiving Associate (Material Handler)

Location: 10036 Aurora Hudson Rd., Streetsboro, OH 44241 Reports To: Logistics Manager Travel Required: No travel required Schedule: 40-hour work week comprised of 5 eight-hour days; some occasional overtime may be required. Level/ Grade HQPS3 Type of Position Full-time Part-time Intern/ Co-op Job Classification Exempt Nonexempt GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION The Material Handler at The Technology House is responsible for performing functions relating to material handling and inventory control. The position works closely with Operations, Purchasing, and Shipping to delivery parts in a timely manner and maintain inventory efficiently and accurately. Responsibilities require attention to detail, problem solving skills, time management, and communication. The Material Handler will temporarily perform the responsibilities of the Shipping & Receiving Associate. RESPONSIBILITIES 1.Material Control a)Pick product accurately and effectively b)Maintain traceability and identification of product c)Enter transactions accurately into ERP system d)Maintain FIFO (First In, First Out) inventory rotation e)Organize and maintain cleanliness of inventory and storage f)Improve and manage inventory locations g)Inspect incoming material and transfer material to inventory 2.Operations a)Report defects and investigate issues b)Audit and close out completed jobs c)Support Operations with internal material routing 3.Quality Assurance a)Create and review quality documents and material certificates as needed b)Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS Proficiency in Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) High school diploma or equivalent Experience with inventory management preferred Experience with ERP systems preferred Experience with material handling preferred Experience with tow motors preferred OTHER REQUIREMENTS Reliable transportation Ability to lift up to 25-50 pounds frequently and over 50 pounds with equipment Ability to perform bending, push/pull, and leaning tasks Ability to sit and stand for extended periods Strong verbal communication skills Attention to detail skills Time management and organization skills Problem-solving skills Ability to read, write, and understand English KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIs) Key performance indicators, or KPIs, are a set of quantifiable measurements used to gauge overall long-term performance of a company, department, or position.
