Position Overview As a Shipping & Receiving Associate, you’ll be responsible for coordinating the flow of materials into and out of the Kansas City production facility. You’ll handle incoming goods, verify materials against purchase orders, maintain inventory accuracy, and ensure outgoing shipments are packed, documented, and labeled correctly. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the smooth operation of Erlab’s supply chain and production floor—balancing precision, safety, and speed. Key Responsibilities · Receive, inspect, and document incoming shipments of components, parts, and materials. · Verify items against packing slips and purchase orders; promptly report discrepancies or damages. · Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment safely and efficiently. · Unload, label, and store incoming materials in designated warehouse areas. · Pick, pack, and prepare finished goods for domestic and international shipment following packaging standards. · Generate and verify shipping documentation including bills of lading, labels, customs declarations, and tracking numbers. · Schedule carrier pickups and coordinate logistics with freight partners. · Maintain inventory accuracy through ERP or warehouse management software. · Support production with timely delivery of components and assist with internal material movements. · Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant shipping and receiving area aligned with 5S and safety standards. · Participate in continuous improvement activities related to warehouse flow, space utilization, and material traceability. Qualifications Required: · High school diploma or GED. · 1–2 years of experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations. · Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records. · Basic computer skills; experience with ERP or inventory management systems preferred. · Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods. · Team player with strong communication and reliability. Preferred Skills · Forklift certification or willingness to obtain one. · Experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment. · Knowledge of domestic and international shipping carriers and methods. · Familiarity with lean manufacturing or 5S warehouse practices.
