Location : Erie, PA We are looking for an experienced self-starter to assist our shipping manager. Required skills are outlined below, with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in shipping/receiving in a manufacturing environment (more preferred). Hours will be 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays after training. Some weekend or after-hours work may be required. $17/hr starting rate. What You’ll Do, Primary Responsibilities: Assist the Shipping Manager with daily shipping and receiving operations, ensuring materials and finished goods are processed accurately and efficiently. Prepare, package, label, and coordinate outgoing shipments, including scheduling pickups and completing required shipping documentation. Receive incoming materials, verify quantities and condition, and ensure deliveries are properly documented and stored. Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with inventory tracking, organization, and cycle counts. Understand and enforce quality standards and health and safety protocols. Coordinate with production, purchasing, and other departments to ensure materials and finished products move on time. Maintain an organized, clean, and safe shipping and receiving area while following company procedures and safety standards. Required Experience & Skills: Knowledge of commercial BOL’s (Bill of Lading), packing lists, and other shipping/receiving documents in a manufacturing environment. Experience with logistics software and web-based logistics brokerage/software, along with UPS and FedEx software Experience with basic MS Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel) Valid PA driver's license (non-CDL) and a clean driving record Experience driving a box truck and forklift Good math and tape-measuring skills Must be able to work a full 8 hours per day/40 hours per week Able to lift 50 pounds and have experience wrapping/strapping/palatizing product for shipment What We Offer: Competitive Base hourly pay - $17/Hr - 40-45 Hrs/Wk Health, Vision, & Dental insurance (Amatech covers partial insurance costs).
