ArhausJOB TITLE Shipping Lead SALARY Non-Exempt – Full Time JOB LOCATION Arhaus Upholstery – Conover, NC WEEKLY HOURS Monday – Friday 6a – 3:30p Overtime as needed DEPARTMENT Shipping REPORTS TO Shipping Supervisor POSITION DETAILS JOB PURPOSE The Shipping Lead will assist the Shipping Supervisor in overseeing the Shipping Department while preforming various administrative and staging duties. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Collect work from Wrappers and stage to be loaded onto truck. Load trailers by Purchase Orders. Properly and accurately document all pieces loaded. Prepare bill of lading for completed loads. Receive material as needed for wrapping. Expedite Items as needed. Assist in wrapping as needed. Other duties as assigned by the Manager Regular performance of duties WORKING CONDITIONS Heated and cooled furniture manufacturing plant with concrete floors. SUPERVISION RECEIVED Minimum SUPERVISION EXERCISED Moderate DIRECT REPORTS 1 - 20 QUALIFICATIONS MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Manufacturing Shipping Experience. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Experience in furniture manufacturing, MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS Less than High School PREFERRED EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS High School Diploma or Equivalent REQUIRED SKILLS PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS Must be able to lift, push, pull up to 150 lbs. Must be able to read an order ticket. Must have general office equipment knowledge. Strong communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills, including ability to describe and convey nonconformance issues is required. Strict attention to detail is a must. Must be a Team Player with a positive attitude. Must be able to work with minimum supervision. Must have your own reliable transportation. Must be able to stand and walk for a minimum of 8 hours a day. Must be able to work Weekends and Overtime. Must be reliable. Must have strong English language skills, including: o Reading o Comprehending o Speaking o Writing Communication Must be able to wear required safety PPE such as Safety Glasses and closed-toe/closed-heel shoes. Must be able to adhere to all Safety policies and procedures to prevent injuries to yourself and others.
