Job Summary The Shipping Lead is responsible for ensuring completed orders are accurately packed, processed, and prepared for shipment. This position combines hands-on warehouse and packing duties with shipping coordination, computer systems, scanning, labeling, and monitoring order status to ensure shipments are completed accurately and on time. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working with computers and warehouse equipment, and able to prioritize multiple orders and deadlines in a fast-paced production environment. Tasks and Responsibilities Pack completed products according to company packing standards and ensure proper quantities and packaging. Assemble boxes, pack and secure products, tape packages, and prepare orders for shipment. Scan completed packages accurately and verify that the correct order and product information is associated with each shipment. Generate and apply shipping labels and organize completed packages onto carts for shipment. Monitor and prioritize rush, expedited, and time-sensitive orders to ensure they ship on schedule. Run shipping and production reports to identify orders that may be delayed or at risk of missing deadlines. Research and locate delayed orders by communicating with warehouse and production departments. Identify and communicate shipping discrepancies, errors, or potential delays to the appropriate personnel. Assist with organizing daily shipping workflow and priorities. Provide direction and assistance to warehouse employees as needed. Maintain accurate records and ensure shipping information is properly updated in company systems. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Participate in safety. All other duties as assigned. Knowledge and Skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Strong organizational and follow-through skills. Comfortable using computers, scanners, shipping systems, and other warehouse technology. Ability to read and understand reports and use information to identify problems. Ability to prioritize multiple orders and deadlines. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment. Knowledge of shipping, warehouse, fulfillment, or production operations. Ability to learn, implement and practice all GotPrint.com policies and procedures. Abilities Ability to read, listen, and understand information presented in various mediums. Speak calmly, clearly and professionally so others can understand you. Be flexible in an ever-changing environment and in stressful situations. Follow direction and respect authority figures within the organization. Ability to multitask and pay attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to perform physical warehouse duties, including standing, walking, lifting, packing, and moving products. Keep a clean workplace. Be available for overtime and Saturday production if needed. Experience High School Diploma or GED. 1-2 years warehouse, shipping, fulfillment, or production experience preferred. Experience with shipping software, scanners, order management systems, or similar computer-based systems preferred. Previous lead or team-lead experience is a plus. Printing, fulfillment, distribution, or production experience is helpful but not necessary.
