Shipping & Customer Service Specialist – Full Time

Gloria Horn Sewing Studio is looking for a dependable, organized, and customer-focused person to join our team as a Full-Time Shipping & Customer Service Specialist . This is a hands-on position that combines order fulfillment, inventory, and customer service . You will spend part of your day picking, packing, and shipping customer orders and part of your day helping customers by phone with questions about their orders, products, and deliveries. Our shipping team also has the opportunity to earn commission based on the amount of product shipped , giving employees the ability to earn more as productivity increases. Responsibilities Pick and fulfill customer orders accurately Pack and prepare orders for shipment Print shipping labels and process outgoing packages Check orders for accuracy before they leave the store Receive incoming inventory and put merchandise away Keep shipping and inventory areas organized Help maintain accurate inventory Answer customer service phone calls Assist customers with order-status, shipping, and product questions Help resolve basic order issues Communicate with management when additional assistance is needed Work with the sales, fabric, shipping, and customer service teams Assist with general store operations when needed What We're Looking For Reliable and dependable Friendly and professional when speaking with customers Comfortable answering phones and helping customers Strong attention to detail Able to work efficiently without constant supervision Comfortable using computers and learning order-management systems Able to switch between shipping, inventory, and customer service responsibilities throughout the day Able to lift and move boxes and merchandise Willing to stay productive and help wherever needed Previous shipping, fulfillment, retail, warehouse, or customer service experience is helpful but not required Knowledge of sewing, quilting, embroidery, or crafting is a plus, but sewing-industry experience is not required . We sell sewing and embroidery machines, fabric, notions, embroidery products, kits, and more through our retail store, website, and livestreams. Because a large portion of our business is shipped directly to customers, our shipping and customer service team plays an important role in making sure customers receive the correct products quickly and receive great service when they contact us.
